NEW BLOG!
Well I’ve finally gotten myself a new blog, to work off my website domain.
I’ve exported all posts from here, so move on over there – nothing more to see here. :O)
Hamish {Hobart Newborn Photographer}
How sweet is this widdle guy I met yesterday!? Hamish was born premature, would you believe he is now 7 weeks old? Just simply adorable.
I had a wonderful day snapping away at his gorgeous face. Even though he is their first born, his wonderful parents dotted over him like they were seasoned pros.
Seriously, you both are amazing parents – I hope to see you again for more sessions through his childhood. *wink wink hint hint*
Hope you like …
Kerry & Jason … Engaged {Hobart Couples Photographer}
Kerry and I have known each other since we were friends way back in primary school. Although we hadn’t seen each other since high school, so it was a nice little reunion being able to take photos of her and fiance Jason.
Jason proposed to Kerry on this very jetty a little while ago, so the spot was very special to them. It was nice to switch my brain of and just shoot away, as they had everything planned and knew exactly what they wanted. :O)
I hope these are similar to what you had in mind, more to come soon. Good luck with all your wedding plans.
Life is Precious … Capture It
On Tuesday I had the pleasure of photographing Kerryn and Ella. Kerryn was the winner of our Springtime Competition – and boy doesn’t she deserve it!
Last year Kerryn’s husband passed away and as if that wouldn’t be a struggle in itself, little Ella (who isn’t even 2 years old yet) has recently been diagnosed with leukaemia. What an amazing and brave family they are despite all of this. Ella is just so so sweet, the poor thing having to deal with the effects of the treatment – she was adament with what she wanted and didn’t want. It was either “weally weally weally, pwease” with the cutest and most angelic look on her face; or it was “NO WAY” with the defiant arms crossed across her chest. What a cutie!
Kerryn I completely admire your strength and positivity. I hope these photos bring a little bit (even if it’s just a teeny widdle bit) of extra joy into your lives.
Notice my new blog photo exhibiting format? Just to spruce up and brighten things. Photos don’t come with the coloured borders, but I can make them that way if so desired. :O)
Olivia’s Cake Smash
As promised here are a few photos from Olivia’s quick, fun and messy cake smash!!
Talk about a sweet tooth!! ha! The cake was sitting there all of half a second before she was into it and no less than 2 minutes later it was well and truly SMASHED!
And after all of that, she was well and truly tuckered out!
3 milestones in 1!
The other day I had a special photo session with 3 gorgeous kidlets. All three of them celebrating some sort of milestone in their lives.
I spent the whole day with this lot (including a cake smash session at the end) … and now I have soooo many favourites that I can’t decide which ones to put up for a sneak peek.
Here they are all together …
This is cutiepie Maddi, who has just turned 5! She was sooo quirky and loved to pose for me. She most definately knew what she wanted to do – and what she didn’t want to do!! LOL.
Here is 2 year old Olivia. She doesn’t know the meaning of the word “sit still”! I found myself chasing her around and around the house just to get glimpses of her on my camera screen! She also had a messy and fun cake smash, which I will post up and blog about soon.
And then there’s Harrison, or “Harry Handsome” as his Mummy calls him. The day we had the photo session Harry was exactly 6 months old. Such a darling … but it was all or nothing with him, I either got the biggest smiles or a serious/curious/worried face. It’s like he’s thinking “what on earth is going on?”.
Watch this space soon for photos from Olivia’s cake smash.
Daniel’s Cake Smash
When I first photographed Daniel he was 6 months old. Now here we are celebrating his 1st birthday with a cake smash session!
To top it off I used my new sigma 24-70 2.8 lens for the job – and I have to say I’m totally in love with it!
Here are some photos from our session.
A Family Reunion
Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting a large group for the first time. I felt a little daunted before hand but once I met the whole bunch, I was at ease immediately . What a beautiful, friendly and fun family.
They travelled from all over Australia to humble Bruny Island for their family reunion and a surprise birthday party.
Here is their sneak peek, with each of the seperate families and a couple of group shots.
I hope you enjoyed your preview Perrin family, the rest of your photos will be ready to view in an online gallery within the week.
